POST 5 A "SUMMER PLANS"

In January second half , I will practice my percussion instruments because I want to apply to an orchestral music festival at Teatro del Lago in Frutillar and I have to practice to reach that goal. January's last week I will going to play with Copiapó Municipal Orchestra at "semanas musicales de Frutillar" at Teatro del Lago too! I wanna squeeze my journey, and I'm going to Valdivia by third time, I'm going to visit friends! Sebastián, a percussion classmate and friend, invited me to his girlfriend's happy birthday party, and I wanna go party! After that, I'm going to visit Futrono, because I want to round Lago Ranco, but in bicycle! I think that will be an incredible experience, because I never turned arround a lake by bicycle, it will be an excellent excersise and I will watch the most beautyful landscapes, the volcanoes, all the native forest, and Valdivian rainforest. I would love to go to Kuntsmann Bierfest, but it was cancelled by the national contingency. I'll have to find beer in another place jajajajaja. Finally, at the end of summer holidays I want to be in Copiapó, because I wanna be with my family at my birthday, in march the 2nd.

POST 4 A "TV SHOWS AND SERIES "

I don't watch TV often, because I'm at the faculty all day long and I come very tired and late at home, but I have a favorite serie that catches my whole attention: "Breaking Bad".
That's the best serie I've ever seen, because its plot is so interesting. It tells about Walter White, a highly talented highschool chemistry teacher (he has a chemistry master and even, a doctorate!) that gets a terminal lung cancer and his life and behavior have turned into 180 degrees. He is married with Skyler and when she knows about his disease, she's pregnat. Here comes the part that changes his life: Walter met Jesse Pinkman, an school ex student that sells crystal meth, and he ask him if he can "cook" that drug, because Jesse knows about Walter's chemistry talent.

What I personally likes about this, is how his life and attitude changed across the story, because he was a underdog and shy person before he get involved in the drug market and afther that, he become the most respected, soulless and dangerous drug dealer in the southern border whit Mexico. He killed a lot of people in the most creative ways, using his chemistry knowledge and that blows my mind!

I highly recommend a "ranchera" song that has been written specially to this production https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DPGjjCBcAg

POST 3 A "ACADEMIC CHALLENGES IN 2020"

Sadly, Universidad de Chile's Art Faculty is one of the worst places to study in this country, because there's a lot of structural, educational and executive issues that makes working problems and makes very difficult  to reach the bachellor degree by the students.

First, our building is from another era and for another purpose! It seems to be an antique psychiatric hospital, it's really disgusting to see it from the outside and inside, gets worst! Classroom are like matchbox, really small and it has old school fornitures that works awfully. Classroom pianos are very antique and they're always out of tune! How could it be possible, if we are music students and we need in tune instruments to develop our ear habilities? Universidad de Chile never has buyed percussion instruments, because the timpani and marimbas were a Japan government donation  and that was in the late 80's! It's been more than 30 years since that and the instruments are in a deplorable state of conservation by its intensive use and poor maintenance work. As percussion students, if we haven't spoken, University will never buyed timpani heads, very important to make the instrument sound!!!

Length of studies are a critical problem, because we have to study about 9 years, such a waste of time! In other universities, even in Chile, bachellor degree it's about 4 years and music pedagogy it's about 5 years! 9 years, I think that is a excessive amount of time, we have to pay those years! In basic cycle, that last 4 years,  there's no scholarship to the students, and is mandatory to achieve superior cycle. SUCH A ROBBERY!!!!!

post 2 A "the best holiday"

The best holiday that I've ever had  was 2019's summer in Valdivia. Is a beautiful city and its surroundings are incredible, with many green areas and parks. This holidays was important to me, because it was a travel with my carreer friends and there was a lot of planification, anticipating to every detail and every moment we lived was fantastic. We went to visit different natural parks in the city, I´ve pay attention specially on two: "SAVAL park" is a great open nature space, with many trees and child games, excellent to familiar country day; it has a beautyful lagoon with lotus flowers and it has a canopy througout all park; the other one was "Jardín Botánico", is a great open nature space too! It's placed between Cau Cau and Valdivia river, it's propiety of Austral University and it has different tree and plant species of all arround the world.  We went to camping to Ranco Lake for four days, there was an incredibly beautyful landscape; there's a volcanic group called "Carrán - Los Venados". The funniest nigth was where we went to the beer festival, the craft beer is amazing, there was a lot food and we are enjoy much of the musicI was born in the north of Chile, therefore, I feel great admiration for this places, because there's a very contrasting change of its landscapes between north and southI have great memories of this magic trip.

Post 1 A "A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT"

I would like to visit different states in North America, but the first one is Georgia, because I think that is an interesting place and I would like to continue postgraduate studies at Georgia University. I love to play percusion since I was very young, I started my musical studies at 9 years old at the Copiapó Music School, and since I decided to continue with my professional artistc carreer, my projection into the future has expanded to do my percussion studies at the best universities of the world, specifically the timpani. This is the last year of my college stage and is for this reason that I decide to continue my postgraduate studies at  Georgia University. My next goal is to become a student of the best timpani professor in the world, Tim Adams.
